beauty products -Hair Conditioner

There are different catagories of Hair conditioners also depending on your hair type and what you want to establish with your hair.  For example people with thin greasy hair need a different condition to people with thick and dry hair.

The six major categories for hair conditioning are as follows:
    Moisturizers

Moisturizers are filled with humectants, these Humectants are compounds that attract and hold moisture into the hair. They may not necessarily contain botanicals or protein (however they often do).

    Reconstructors

Reconstructors normally contain protein and Hydrolyzed human hair keratin protein is the best source as it contains all 19 amino acids found in the hair.  It also has a low molecular weight which enables it to penetrate the hair shaft (the cortex).
    Hair Cut
The main purpose of a reconstructor is to strengthen the hair.
    Acidifiers

"Acid" being the key word here - contrary to what you might beleive it is recommended to put acid on your hair.  An acidifier is termed when a product carries a pH of 2.5 to 3.5. This pH will close (compact) the cuticle layer of the hair, which results in shiny, bouncy hair. Acidifiers create shine, and add elasticity. This category is recommended for those  with fine textured hair.

    Detanglers

The majority of detanglers are acidifiers (see above) and most of these have low pH's 2.5 to 3.5. They close the cuticle of the hair which cause tangles. Some "shield" the hair shaft with polymers (polymers are strings of "like" molecules- a chain). Some detanglers are instant, some take 1-5 minutes to work.

    Thermal Protectors

Thermal protectors are used on the hair against heat damage, whether you use a blow dryer, curling tongs, heated rollers or your hair may just be damaged by the sun.  Themal protectors usually use heat absorbing polymers that distribute the heat, thus avoiding heat damaged hair. (Which is one of the major causes of hair damage today).

    Glossers

Glossers are generally cosmetic as most glossers contain
dimethicone or cyclomethicone ( very light oils derived from silicone).
These chemicals used in small amounts reflect the light.  They are also one of the best products to control "Frizzy hair).

    Oils (E.F.A.'s)

If your hair is dry (if your hair is coloured or you have a permanent wave or naturally dry. You need to add oil to your hair, although the scalp produces a natural oil called sebum., in some cases this is not enough and EFA's are the closest thing to natural sebum (sebum contain EFA'S). EFA's can make the worst dry hair into soft easy to style hair.

Putting conditioner on thinning hair will not be enough to stop a hair loss problem, but this will make hair appear as though it's thicker and fuller. One way to help replenish the hair's natural protein and mineral balance is by using the Tricomin restructuring conditioner. This in turn can build the shine, luster, and even bring back the body of thin hair. A leave-in conditioner can also help smooth and straighten hair
